This is with reference to the article “So much for free speech” (Nov. 29) by S.N.M. Abdi. The Bollywood star did not commit any crime by highlighting a social malaise. Such utterances don’t make anybody a traitor. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its cohorts should be taken to task because of their communal rants, which are in violation of the secular constitution of India. As a matter of fact, Aamir Khan did not violate any law. It is the saffron brigade, which does not respect the constitution of the country. Every sane Indian stands by Aamir Khan and all those people who raise their voice against the growing wave of intolerance in India. Who is the RSS to ask an Indian Muslim to leave the country and go to Pakistan?
