I was not at all surprised to read the report “Kerala CM condemns attacks on India’s minorities” (March 1). We all know that when it comes to peaceful coexistence this southern Indian state serves as a role model for other Indian states and for other countries in the region as well.

Kerala has a mix of all communities adhering to different faiths. It is really nice to see the way they live together in complete harmony. We have never heard about any communal clashes in this beautiful state.

I strongly believe that education has a great role in the prevailing peace and harmony in this state. It is interesting to note that the Keralites strongly oppose communal politics due to which parties with a communal agenda have so far failed in making inroads into this state.

A recent survey conducted by the Transparency International ranked Kerala as the least corrupt state in India. We appreciate the CM’s condemnation of attacks on India’s minorities.
