It is very sad to read about the political unrest in Bangladesh these days. I fail to understand as to why the leaders of that country are still living in the past. They should bury the hatchet and try to work together for the welfare of their people. Resurrecting the ghosts of the past is not in the interest of the country.

Whatever happened in 1971 should not be seen in isolation. One has to understand the overall scenario of those days. Above all, being Muslims we should learn to forgive. The incidents that took place in 1971 are condemnable and a sad episode in the history of mankind when brothers fought brothers.
