Novak Djokovic celebrated his grueling Wimbledon 2014 victory over Roger Federer by publicly eating grass from the court he played on. Novak has reclaimed the men’s Wimbledon title after a fascinating encounter with veteran Roger. To be fair to the loser, I should say that it is really great to play against a younger player for four hours at the age of 32 plus, and it is quite amazing. Federer said “I can’t believe I made it to five sets, it was looking good there for a while, see you next year.”

I have so much respect for both of them and I love how Novak dedicated his win to his future wife. I place Federer in the same class as the former popular American legendary tennis player Pete Sampras. Both are extremely decent players with unblemished records to their credit. In the meantime, I would like to share the thoughts of a former World No. 1 and 18 Women’s Grand Slam singles championships winner, Chris Evert, who once said, “If you can react the same way to winning and losing that’s a big accomplishment. That quality is important because it stays with you the rest of your life, and there’s going to be a life after tennis that’s a lot longer than your tennis life.” Congratulations Novak for the great performance.
