This is with reference to the article “Muslims unfairly under suspicion” (Nov. 24) by Linda Heard. No matter how hard Muslims try to convince the West that they have nothing to do with Daesh, the western world will continue to suspect them. It is very difficult to fight preconceived notions about Muslims and Islam. I think Muslims should stop being apologetic. Why should we apologize for the crimes of a group of deviants?

Does the West think that we can force such terror groups to stop committing atrocities in the areas they control or carrying out terrorist attacks elsewhere? The western nations are not blind to the fact that Muslims themselves are the worst victims of terrorism. They should monitor news reports and decide for themselves. It is clear that they want to implicate Islam and Muslims for some ulterior motives.
