The world is making headway in the fields of science and technology and countries like India and Pakistan continue to remain slaves of centuries-old mentality. These countries ignore the fact that they share same problems. Instead of continuing with the policies of hatred, they should try to chalk out a strategy to confront their social and economic problems together.

These countries have strong trade ties with countries situation thousands of miles away but don’t wish to commence trade with each other, the next-door neighbors, due to deep mistrust.

I hope that the young generation of the two sides will say no to hatred and work together for mutual benefit. Politicians on both sides continue to slam each other just to gain popularity in their respective constituencies. This is a wrong approach, which should be changed. Unfortunately, there are no parties on both sides with a young leadership or which truly represent the aspirations of the youth. I urge the youths of India and Pakistan to form different forums to forge alliances on various fronts and to promote peace between the two nations.
