This is with reference to the article “Rich leader of a poor nation” (Feb. 28) by Abdulrahman Al-Rashed. It is sad to read articles and reports detailing the corrupt practices of political and national leaders. Former Yemen President Ali Abdullah Saleh is using dirty tactics to return to power. Why doesn’t he accept the popular verdict?

Is he under the impression that he would never die? It is, indeed, sad.
