The article “Saffronization of India” (Nov. 14) by Aijaz Z. Syed was a good read. Sometimes, I feel that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is only playing with the religious sentiments of the majority Hindu community. If one carefully analyzes the policies of the BJP-led government, it will come to many as a surprise that the BJP is actually giving the control of India to major corporates. I am sure that by the end of its tenure, it will lose its popularity. Indians should realize that in the 21st Century fighting over religion is a silly thing to do. India is a great country with huge potential. The right-wing elements are the Hindu version of Taleban and IS. These people will only harm India in the long run. A culturally diverse India does not need communal politics. Secularism is in the interest of the Indians and India. These right-wing politicians only use religion to promote their selfish interests.

All Indians should try to say no to communal politics and act as one for the progress of their country.
