After an intensive yearlong investigation by the Australian authorities, it was made public that the use of banned drugs in Australian professional sport is widespread. It was also revealed that in some cases the drugs were supplied by organized crime syndicates. Now, there is another interesting story coming out after the Australian Olympic relay team nicknamed ‘Weapons of Mass Destruction’ (WMD) finished a lame fourth in the Olympic event in the 2012 games held in London. All six swimmers, who took part in the relay, have confessed using sedative, the sleeping medication ‘Stilnox’, during a ‘bonding session’. We guess that this sedative would have made the ‘WMD’ to forget to take the most ‘important drug’, to win the event, before the relay and thus finished a lame fourth against all expectations!
