How do you think a US airport would react to someone from the Middle East or Asia or Africa leaving the country with three live bullets in his jacket pocket? Do you think they would understand and say, oh OK, you forgot to take them out after your trip to the firing range and you are a policeman in your country, we understand, shit happens, go on, have a nice flight.
Not likely. So, why are all these senators making such a song and dance about the American cop held up at New Delhi airport with bullets in his bag. Why do you think the Indian cops acted out of line when they spotted the ammo?

That’s the Indian diplomat who was strip searched after being arrested for falsifying her credentials or so they said. In an aside, she and her daddy were served warrants for hanky panky in a Mumbai housing scheme yesterday.

Harlem Police Officer Manny Encarnacion said he had accidentally left three bullets in the pocket of a jacket in his checked luggage… yeah, we do that all the time, darling, have you seen my magnum 375s, don’t forget to pack them with the antacid.
Asked if India has shown that they can be trusted, the spokesperson said: “India is a very close partner. Yes, absolutely.”
Hear the good senator, Charles Schumer: “I would hope that India, a country that we have a good relationship with, would not stoop to the petty level of making a political pawn of this decorated NYPD cop and veteran.”
Encarnacion has been barred from leaving India until his next court date, April 19, the Post said.
