I would like to suggest some changes to the traffic system on Salah Ad Din Al-Ayyubi Road at Al Malaz in Riyadh. Presently, the traffic moves on both sides of the road. There are intersections at four places to change sides, causing traffic jams. For example, a motorist coming from the north and wants to go to the eastern side of the extreme south has to cross over to the western side before the Security Forces Hospital signal and, after crossing the signal again, go to the other side. This zig-zag movement creates chaos on the road.

This can be put to an end in the following way: There is a signal at Security Forces Hospital; vehicles coming from Umar Ibn Abdul Aziz Road take a left turn to Salah Ad Din Al-Ayyubi Road. They halt in the middle of the road. This traffic can be stopped at the end of Umar Ibn Abdul Aziz Road and vehicles on the eastern side of Salah Ad Din Al-Ayyubi Road can go straight. This will make the traffic flow smooth as no crossing over is required. Motorists who want to take a left turn from the western side of Salah Ad Din Al-Ayyubi Road to Umar ibn Abdul Aziz Road can be allowed when the signal turns green for vehicles coming from Umar Ibn Abdul Aziz Road. This will allow free flow of traffic.
