This is with reference to the report “Terror attack ‘was funded from abroad’” (Nov. 11). The elements behind the dastardly attack are living in a fool’s paradise. It is not easy to drive a wedge between Saudis. I am sure the security forces of the Kingdom will deal with such elements with an iron fist and will not rest until the perpetrators of the Al-Ahsa attack are extirpated. The report also mentions the involvement of foreign forces in the attack. These cheap tactics will not pay off in the Kingdom. If we notice carefully, these elements only succeed in gaining a foothold in countries, where the leaders are incompetent and are unable to manage the country’s affairs properly. By the grace of God, this is not the case in Saudi Arabia. Despite the chaos all across the region, Saudi Arabia stands tall as an island of peace and stability.

Of course, in the age of globalization events taking place anywhere around the world will impact other countries. And the crisis are unfolding in Saudi Arabia’s backyard, so chances of a spillover always remain. But the manner in which the Saudi forces and people reacted to the incident clearly shows that Saudi Arabia can deal with such elements effectively. The Saudi scholars should speed up their efforts to educate people on the importance of unity.
