This is with reference to the article “In the face of media firestorm” (Nov. 28) by Bikram Vohra. The writer has effectively tried to defend the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) defeat in the recently concluded Bihar state assembly election by portraying it as a victim of a vicious media campaign. The writer is entitled to his opinion but it should have been based on the ground realities. Vohra cannot deny the fact that leaders of the ruling BJP have spitted venom against the minorities particularly Muslims and the media only highlighted those hate-filled statements.
