Princess Al-Anood Philanthropic Foundation Tuesday launched a series of Ramadan lectures in the presence of its Secretary-General Youssef bin Othman Al-Huzaim and members of diplomatic corps accredited to the Kingdom.
Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at King Saud University, Mubarak bin Fahad Alfaraan, delivered a lecture on the “Scientific miracles of eyes creation,” in which he explained the functions and components of eyes and how Allah put the eyes in a safe and secure place in the human body. Alfaraan answered many questions raised by the attendees.
The Al-Anood Ramadan lectures run for three days and are held at Princess Al-Anood Mosque, Riyadh.
They will be concluded today (Thursday) with a lecture by Gustavo Perez Figueroa from Colombia titled “The history of Islamic culture and heritage in Latin America — Colombia”.
Princess Al-Anood Philanthropic Foundation, which belongs to the wife of late King Fahd, is investing SR 1.4 billion in real estate to sustain its philanthropic services. It will provide, among other things, 500,000 iftar meals Kingdom-wide this year. As many as 120,000 families will benefit from the program, to be implemented through 25 charitable organizations.
The foundation also built mosques and houses for poor Saudi families in remote areas. They sponsor orphanages and provide medical treatment for needy Saudi families. Future programs will include educational facilities and manpower training as part of their charitable work.
