The Eastern Province municipality apprehended 10 foreigners for slaughtering sheep outside of Dammam’s authorized slaughterhouse during an Eid Al-Adha inspection tour west of the city.

Muhammad Al-Sufaian, municipality spokesman, said that the offenders were found guilty of randomly slaughtering livestock in the city’s public squares. “The slaughtering tools were confiscated and the violators referred to authorities,” he said.

Al-Sufaian said that inspectors visited the sheep market during Eid with the participation of preventive security services, stopping any attempt to sell sheep outside the market area.

Four additional teams accompanied inspectors for immediate inspection in various districts.
