RIYADH: Within the national plan to localize the telecommunications sector in the Kingdom, 100 trainers have undergone advanced training in telecommunications in all four major cities of the Kingdom, according to the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC).

The training was conducted by the telecom major, ‘Huawei’, and among the participants were coaches and employees of various telecom organizations.

Speaking on the occasion, TVTC Spokesman Fahd Al-Otaibi said that the move is part of the ongoing partnership between the TVTC and Huawei that seeks to transfer Chinese technical know-how to Saudi youth (both male and female).

The official said that the company will also offer advanced training programs to about ten coaches to undertake the practical application of the skills they have acquired at the company’s headquarters in China soon.

According to him, the skills are not limited to the maintenance of advanced mobile phones; the trainees will also learn about the maintenance of advanced mobile phone training programs.

This will allow them to join a qualified body that offers training programs in the maintenance of advanced mobile phones, sales management, customer service and maintenance. The spokesman explained that the training program includes the identification and decoding of mobile phones, installation of software and hardware and ways to fix various system errors.

Participants will also learn how to deal with and repair internal phone mechanisms, in addition to providing them with basic experiences that will help them to undergo continuous self-training through electronic sites and tools available to them. This will equip them to monitor and take advantage of the continuous development taking place in the smart phone industry.
