RIYADH: The Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz MISK Charitable Foundation is providing top first- and second-year Saudi public high school students access to join the summer program for high school students at Harvard University.

As top students from more than 50 countries compete for seats in the program, MISK has secured 100 seats for Saudi students, or 12.5 percent of the total 800 seats, due to the charity’s close relations and cooperation with the university.

The charity urged top students to apply for the scholarships for the summer program by visiting the website www.misk.org.sa. Applicants must fill out an English application form and attach the required documents before the deadline of Jan. 30.

The scholarships, which are part of the “Creating Leadership” program, one of the charity’s initiatives offered in partnership with Harvard, is a high-ranking program globally. The summer program aims to introduce students to the university’s environment, introducing them to the historic institution, as well as help them start launching and benefiting from future opportunities in different scientific and knowledge fields.

More than 7,000 students from 50 countries apply for the program.

The program is scheduled to begin this year on the 15th of Ramadan, which falls on June 20, and lasts seven weeks. The program offers access to 200 courses in various disciplines and students select two courses in which to participate, depending on their skills and academic inclinations.
