RIYADH: The specialized criminal court has sentenced 22 members of the Al-Mowaheen terrorist cell to prison terms ranging from four to 26 years.

The main accused belonged to the Takfiri thought and accused the state and the king with monotheism and led a group, in addition to hosting and harboring individuals with Takfiri thought.

He was accused of possessing hand grenades, two guns, a Kalashnikov rifle and buying firearms and delivering the same to three members of the group. He was sentenced to 26 years in jail, starting from the date of his arrest, and will be prevented from travel for a similar period of time after he completes his sentence.

The court proved that the second defendant also adopted the Takfiri thought and ridiculed scholars. He also possessed firearms without license. He was sentenced to 18 years and will be banned from travelling for the same period after the sentence.

The third defendant possessed firearms without license and was sentenced to 15 years in jail, while the fifth one was imprisoned for 15 years.

The sixth defendant was sentenced to 17 years in jail and banned from travel for the same period after his sentence.

The others were also sentenced different jail terms on various charges.
