The General Presidency for Youth Welfare (GPYW) in Jeddah recently launched a scout program with the participation of 50 young people from around the Kingdom.

The program is organized by GPYW for representing youth activities in Jeddah and will continue until the end of October.

Saud Salman, director of the program, said the program aims to provide young Saudis with courses in first aid, how to handle and assist in disaster and emergency situations interspersing software, recreational, entertainment and educational programs.

He said the courses have been established by expert trainers from Civil Defense, Professional Boy Scouts and software experts according to the directives of General President of Youth Welfare Prince Abdullah bin Musaed, who seeks to intensify youth programs that benefit them.

Director of the Office of the General Presidency for Youth Welfare in Jeddah Ahmed Mohamed Rosie welcomed all the participants in the program from different regions and governorates of the Kingdom.

He stressed that the Jeddah office encourages youth programs that serve young people in various fields, including scouts who benefit others and are always ready to work in any situation.
