Col. Fahd Al-Ghannam, Madinah’s police media spokesman, confirmed that the Madinah Police Department has arrested 7,035 violators since the beginning of the inspection campaigns on Nov. 3 in cooperation with its administration, security patrols, the head of the Special Forces for Road Security and the Criminal Investigations Department.

The arrests took place under the direct supervision of Brig. Abdul Hadi Al-Shahrani, chief of the Madinah Police, he said. Violators have been handed over to the department handling detainees in prisons in the region.

Al-Shahrani confirmed the campaign is ongoing as per the directives of the Ministry of Interior.

He praised the efforts of security forces and called on citizens to cooperate with security officials in finding illegal expats across the country.
