The media play a crucial role in any society.

With advance of new technologies, it is all the more daunting challenge for readers to choose the right one in the middle of daily information overload.

For 40 years, Arab News has proved its reputation as one of the leading newspapers in the region for its quality information and broad perspectives with current issues as well as feature stories.

Being a window to society and beyond, it really binds us to society and the people of the Kingdom. Indeed, not a single day goes by without me reading the newspaper.

It has proven itself to be indispensable to the diplomatic community in Saudi Arabia.

In Korean culture, we traditionally hold the person in high regard who reaches his or her age of 40 years because four decades experience would mean that only you can decide what suits you. In this sense, Arab News and its all staff deserve to get compliments for their invaluable contribution to the social development of the Kingdom and for its outstanding performance during the past 40 years.

Particularly, Arab News has been a reliable companion for the ever-expanding and deepening relations between Korea and the Kingdom by connecting our two countries through its extensive coverage on them.

I appreciate Arab News for doing its part for the friendly development of our bilateral relationship throughout its proud history.
