JEDDAH: There has been an intense buzz created on Twitter about what is expected to be a major economic policy announcement on April 25 by Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The newly set up Twitter account @Saudivision2030 only has this cryptic tweet, “We will be with you on April 25th,” which has already been followed by almost 200,000 people.

The deputy crown prince had earlier announced that as part of a plan to create a post-oil economy, the Kingdom is going to create a $2 trillion sovereign wealth fund into which it will place the country’s most valuable assets, including national oil company Saudi Aramco.
