Some 50 Saudi productive families representing Saudi youth particitpated with their homemade products in the Saudi Creation program held to mark the occasion of the 84th Saudi National Day.

A number of charities have organized a Saudi Creation Bazaar to showcase the products of the productive families and to introduce the small traders to the Saudi market on the National Day as part of the celebrations. The bazaar, under the title “Saudi Creations” was held in Tahliah Mall in Jeddah and aimed to draw the world’s attention to Saudi Arabia’s homegrown talent.

The four-day bazaar aimed to support the emerging home-based businesses of the productive families.

Magda Babrook, businesswoman and executive director of Al-Wakon Center for Women, the organizers of the event, said that the aim of the program is to establish a link between the Saudi market and productive families as one of the pillars of the national economy and give full support to these women and families with the best quality products and services to the community.

Babrook said she believes that such events and programs support Saudi women in economic development activities, in line with the aim of the foundation which is to develop the youth’s skills so they can serve their country and nation.

She said: “This event will also help to create job opportunities as the main objective is to support productive families, youth and influence the community to buy the products of Saudi women who are working to make ends meet.” She added that productive families can also contribute to the national economy and spread the culture of work among the young generation besides getting first-hand experience in the market.

She stressed that there are many handicrafts being produced by women in various fields such as costumes and beauty products. Babrook urged businessmen to cooperate with productive families and assist them with establishing small businesses as part of social responsibility.

She expressed hopes that through this small bazaar they will attract the elite segment of society. “Social participation contributes to the awareness of social work and the establishment of new partnerships will benefit these families,” she said.
