JEDDAH: Al-Nabta, a Saudi nonprofit organization, organized a special program for children on awareness of the environment to pay tribute and show solidarity with the Kingdom on the 86th National Day on Friday.
Sawsan Alim, the founder and head of Al-Nabta for environmental awareness, told Arab News that their goal is to spread awareness about the environment, why we need to protect the environment and how we can protect the environment, especially among youngsters.
She said though children are the target audience, they also have environmental programs for offices and schools, companies, and even for district neighborhood centers.
She said Al-Nabta organized programs under the theme “My career in eco-friendly subjects” to celebrate National Day.
“This is the way to pay tribute to our country, show solidarity and express gratitude to our country and develop a career where people can serve the country and take care of it while taking care of the environment,” she said.
“All the activities we have are based on edutainment, but at the same time children will come out with added values, keeping in mind National Day. However, it will continue for a whole year,” she explained.
