JEDDAH: Experts in various fields from the US, Britain, France, Poland and other Gulf and Arab countries are scheduled to participate in the "Saudi Creative Week" from May 27 to June 3 here.

Being held under the auspices of the Saudi National Creative Initiative (SNCI), the event will feature workshops with special focus on media and advertising.

The SNCI aims to explore and analyze the existing creative industries in Saudi Arabia and create a platform to help people develop, practice and celebrate their creative abilities.

In order to achieve the goals, an electronic platform has been established to help creators accelerate social development and creativity in the region.

This platform is committed to achieving this vision by exploring Saudi creative sectors and weaving a clear path between the development policies and local creative communities.

The SNCI is a result of tireless efforts by a group of local and international partners that share the dream to revive and promote the heritage of Saudi Arabia as an eclectic center of design, art, architecture and culture.

During the May 27 to June 3 program, the activities will include issues such as the latest developments in the media and advertising sector.

The University of Business and Technology in Jeddah was the first to embrace SNCI, and believe in its future vision and goals, and provided it with material and moral support.

The forthcoming event is a rare opportunity for aspiring creators in Jeddah to meet the leaders of the labor market and stakeholders and discuss the needs and its offers, in addition to individual counseling sessions to help local creators, entrepreneurs, designers and creative projects.

Visual artist Patryk Kizny, art director David Habochy, Joe F Khalil (associate professor of Communication, Northwestern University of Qatar), animation consultant Mike Robinson, media consultant Joan Lofts, PhotoIreland founder Angel Luis Fernandez and Script consultant Ana Sanz Magallon will be among those who will share their rich experiences.
