MADINAH: One hundred and twenty-one cases of traffic rule violations have been registered by the Saher Automated Vehicle Monitoring System among employees of the Madinah municipality.

The problem is the employees don't want to pay and the municipality is trying to find a way to force them to do that. The violations mostly stem from failure to renew vehicle ownership.

The human resources administration in the region's municipality have sought to provide a solution to this problem by allowing the errant employees to pay their fees in installments if that helps.

However, there would be stringent punishment for nonpayment including a ban on vacations and a stay on promotions.

Municipality officials said that such solutions are part of five recommendations put forward by the municipality's administrative and financial affairs department to force the employees to pay up.
