RIYADH: The Saudi International Conference on Hearing and Speech Disorder will be held in the capital from Nov. 1 to 3 with the theme “Life and Language Continues.”

Talal Al-Zarqi, president of the Saudi Society for Hearing and Speech Disorders, said the conference aims to raise the efficiency of specialists in the Kingdom in the treatment of communication disorders.

The conference is also aimed at scientific advancement which will contribute to the medical services to people with disorders in hearing and communication, Al-Zarqi said.

It also enables doctors on speech disorders “to keep abreast of modern trends in the evaluation, rehabilitation and training of individuals with speech and hearing disorders.”

Bilal Barmawi, executive director of Saudi Hadhaba Society, added that there will also be workshops that allow the participants access to the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
