MAKKAH: The Court of Appeals in Makkah has upheld the death sentence of a man for knifing to death his three children.

The man, in his fifties, together with his three children, was living with his brother in their family home after being divorced from his wife. He suffered from a physical disability and walked on crutches, a local daily reported.

On the fateful day, the man told his brother to take the three children out with him, else he would kill them if left with him. The brother did not take him seriously and left the children with him.

As his brother left, the man took a kitchen knife and murdered the three children one after the other. Later he informed police about the crime.

The police found the heads of each child cut off, a source told the paper.

The man told police that he killed the children to get back at their mother, the source said.
