RIYADH: The specialized criminal court in Riyadh recently sentenced a citizen to 10 years of imprisonment for adopting the Takfiri thought and supporting Daesh.

The court held him guilty of collecting and dispatching information to harm the public order through a Twitter account and re-tweeting publications that support Daesh.

He was sentenced to 10 years in jail, of which three are based on article six of the Anti Information Crime System and the rest according to the royal decree.

His mobile phone was confiscated, and he was banned from travel for a period similar to his sentence after his release.
