Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah promoted a Saudi diplomat for refusing to accept a bribe. The employee in one of the Kingdom’s embassies refused to bypass the system in granting Haj and Umrah visas.

King Abdullah granted the diplomat a financial award as an appreciation for his integrity and loyalty.

Meanwhile, National Anti-Corruption Commission (Nazaha) chief Muhammad Al-Sharief said his commission investigated a complaint regarding an unnamed ambassador charging 150 euros per visa. “It turned out to be a false report,” he said.
