JEDDAH: An 80-year-old mother has launched a desperate appeal for the authorities to help find her son who has been missing for 32 years.

Salah Fares Al-Juhani, her son, left their home in Umluj Province when he was in his twenties and never returned, said his mother, according to local publication report.

The mother was quoted as saying that the whereabouts of her son, who should now be about 52 years of age, was traced to a company in Tabuk and then another in Jeddah about 11 years ago. Since then there has been no information about him, the elderly woman said.

The family has since launched several search operations, with enquiries made at hospitals, hotels and police stations, but to no avail. They have recently launched a search using social media.

The mother said she has suffered over the years because a son and daughter fell ill and died recently. She is now hoping to find her long-lost son with the only photograph she has of him in his twenties.
