MADINAH: The General Health Affairs Directorate in Madinah has clarified that an elderly woman who has been admitted to King Fahd Hospital here is being treated and taken care of.

The directorate issued the statement of clarification after a video clip of the woman on the hospital bed, taken by her son, was posted on social media.

It called on patients in such cases to refer to the Health Home Management where there is a specialist team to offer the required health services to patients at their homes.

The statement clarified that she was brought to the hospital last Friday and was suffering from age-related problems and had bed lacerations, but her condition was stable.

The statement emphasized that all medical tests were carried out on her and she was shifted to King Fahd Hospital as she needed long-term treatment and that she does not need surgical intervention.
