“Let’s Celebrate Together,” a nine-day cultural festival to commemorate Eid Al-Fitr, will begin on Thursday.

It is being held by the City Youth Forum at Jeddah’s Old Airport. “This is the largest youth forum targeting both young men and women,” said Abdullah Bawazir, director of the forum and director general of the Dawa Center in South Jeddah.

He invites Saudis and expatriates to attend and learn how to make good use of their time. “It will feature seminars, exhibitions and training courses as well as recreational and sporting events,” Bawazir said.

“We aim to enlighten our youth, give them guidance and encourage them to be productive citizens,” he explained. “We have special cultural, sports, educational and entertainment programs in addition to cultural contests and personality development programs for young women,” he added.

Prizes will be offered to participants daily and a car will be given away on the last day.

A number of prominent Islamic scholars including Abdul Mohsen Al-Ahmed, Saad Al-Barik, Anas Misfar, Abdul Rahman Al-Ayed, and Abdul Aziz Al-Fouzan will address participants throughout the program.

Bawazir said the program is supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and has the support of Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal.

Sponsors of the program include the Suleiman Al-Rajhi Charitable Foundation, Sedco, World Assembly of Muslim Youth, Muhammad Al-Subaie Charitable Foundation, Al-Juhmaih Foundation, Abdullah Hashim Company, and Muhammad Naghi Company.
