RIYADH: Minister of Culture and Information Adel Al-Toraifi has thanked Saudi leaders for their support for the new Saudi Press Agency (SPA) building project.

According to a statement to the media after the inauguration of the new building of the agency here on Thursday, Al-Toraifi praised the new facilities at the building.

The minister highlighted the new features enabling SPA to reflect the real image of the Kingdom and its achievements.

He said: "We have seen today the Saudi youth's ability to carry out media work and deliver news bulletins in several international languages, and this is what we seek," noting that this will add to SPA's feature of working with television services over the Internet, which will be available in the next stage.

The minister drew attention to the features of the new building and the presence of an integrated training center.

On SPA's partnership with Radio and Television Corporation to establish a news channel, Al-Toraifi said that work on this is still in its initial stages.
