RIYADH: The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (Haia) has launched an annual excellence award for its staff members to raise adequacy and creative performance.

Haia chief Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Al-Sanad recently announced the move in a bid to create a positive competitive work environment among various administrative and field staff at the religious organization.

According to him, the award will also encourage commitment to quality and excellence that will discover competent human resources with special focus on the sophistication level of rehabilitation.

This will help prepare for leadership work, and motivate employees in seeking creativity, thinking and development, through three categories: Administrative entities including public administrations, departments and branches; field staff including bodies and centers; and a human resources category.

Spelling out the award, Al-Sanad added that the award identifies several values, namely justice, transparency, positive competition, equal opportunities, professional responsibilities and creativity.

In this context, the Haia head issued a decree to form a higher committee for the award under his chairmanship, with membership of heads of various departments, presidential advisers and managers. Also a decree was issued to form a general secretariat for the award.

According to him, the award comes as part of the operational plan for public relations, media and communication programs, targeting all employees of the organization to create a competitive environment based on permanent and effective stimulus for those working in the presidency.
