JEDDAH: A video featuring a primary school in Hail showing that both teachers and management were absent has led to investigations by the general directorate of education in the region.

The video showed the headmaster and three teachers were late in arriving at the school. In addition, four other teachers were reported absent. The teachers accused of being absent denied the allegations. They decided to file a complaint against the person who appeared in the video accusing them of being absent, a local publication reported.

The Education Department in Hail began investigations concerning the complaint submitted by the parent of a student at Ibn Abdul Birr Primary School in Qusairiyat village, 80 km west of Hail. The allegations are that teachers and the headmaster of the school are frequently absent.

The video showed a person announcing that the headmaster of the school and a number of teachers were absent. The video displayed the attendance sheet with no one signing it until 9 in the morning.
