Eid Al-Fitr is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide marking the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.
Some people travel locally or abroad, but most love to stay at hotels with their families.
Some Riyadh hotels are trying to lure customers by offering special packages for Eid.
Haifa Al-Marsha, a senior marketing executive at Al-Faisaliah Hotels, said that the group is offering rooms for SR1,300 a night with breakfast at its Prince Sultan Grand Hall, a free room upgrade, Internet, one-hour massage or facial, a complimentary make-up session, blow-dry, manicure, kids corner and complimentary valet parking.
Farah Makki, marketing and public relations coordinator at Burj Rafal Hotel Kempinski, said they are having a family Eid brunch on July 31 at their Grand Restaurant. They would also have activities for kids including jumping castles, clowns, face painting and a special buffet.
Merhan El-Massry, assistant director of public relations at the Ritz Carlton, said the hotel is offering a room for SR1,800 a night with breakfast including local favorites at Al-Orjouan Restaurant, salad buffet, sushi station, grilled seafood, sweets, smoothies at Strike, a 1,000-square-meter indoor six-lane bowling alley open from 4 p.m. until midnight, kids corner and professional spar.
