An Ethiopian housemaid stabbed a Sudanese child to death and wounded her sister in Jeddah late Saturday, local media said quoting a Makkah police media spokesman.

The six-year-old succumbed to her injuries, while her seven-year-old sister has been transferred to a local hospital and is in stable condition, said Lt. Col. Aati Al-Qurashi.

The maid reportedly stabbed herself soon after the incident, but is being treated at a local hospital and will be referred to relevant authorities for further investigation,” he said.
