Haj volunteers came together at an event in Makkah organized by the Makkah chapter of the India Fraternity Forum (IFF).

In his inaugural remarks, Shareef Al-Fadhl, an educationist and director of Al-Fadhl International School, Makkah, said: “Dedicated and timely service of the IFF volunteers during the Haj has been outstanding. The service was much valuable and benefited thousands of pilgrims who came from all around the globe. Indeed it has become an inspiration for many to follow.”

IFF Makkah Coordinator Abdulla Koya, who presided over the function, expressed gratitude to the Indian Consul General B.S. Mubarak and the Haj mission and its various coordinators and volunteers for extending tremendous support and wholehearted cooperation, which helped the forum to carry out the activities and offer services efficiently.

IFF has been working hand in glove with the Haj mission since the first batch of Indian Hajis arrived in Makkah.

Naif Najeeb Abdul Hameed Khan, chairman of a tawafa organization, said he was impressed by the dedication of the volunteers and he used them as translators that helped him to understand and solve the problems of the pilgrims in his camp. He hopes for more cooperation in the coming years.

Prominent among those present at the event were Nazi Ahmed Akbar Khan of IPWF (Makkah), Abdul Ghaffar of IFF (Makkah), Sulaiman C.T., director of ACCESS, and Mohammed Munis Khan.

Razi Ahmed recited verses from the Holy Qur’an and E.M. Abdullah delivered the welcome address.

IFF Makkah President Abdulla Koya presented the vote of thanks. A team comprising Abdul Ghaffar, Ashraf Iritti, Abdussalam Mirza and Ashraf Tirur organized the event.
