An education show, called EDEX 2013, by students at the International Indian School-Jeddah (Boys Section) on Dec. 23-24, drew thousands of visitors.

The theme of the exhibition was “Coming together is beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success.” The visitors were delighted and impressed by the work of the students.

Mohammad Raghib Qureshi, officiating consul general, inaugurated the exhibition. He was accompanied by Chandni Qureshi, Principal Syed Masood Ahmad and members of the school managing committee.

The guests appreciated the creativity, talent and skills of participants and applauded the hard work of the teachers in putting up a spectacular display on such a large scale.

The science wing at EDEX 2013 proved to be the best with its beautiful and explicit exhibits. The English, Arabic, Urdu, Telugu and Tamil exhibits were widely appreciated.

Children of I & II Block artistically displayed a model of the solar system and various aspects of “Our Beautiful Earth.” Students of III to V Block mesmerized the audience with models of the rain forest, grass lands and polar region. They even set up an aquarium with the boys dressed up as mermaids.

Other sections, such as maths, Islamic studies, art and crafts, English and other languages, were equally impressive.

The students of VI to VIII Block displayed their creativity by highlighting present-day technology, innovation and discoveries, such as magnetic levitation, excavator, mobile charging using wind energy and the wonders of mathematics. The students of IX to XII Block displayed projects highlighting different branches of science.

Among the best exhibits were “Gravity Show” and “Robots.” Visitors were fascinated by “Nail Bed” and “Kaun Banega Biologist.”

A multipurpose dam prepared by Class XII students was also a big attraction.
