JEDDAH: The Interior Ministry has warned against the collection of donations in cash or kind for any purpose without obtaining a permit from the competent authorities. Such acts will be deemed a violation of regulations in force, according to the ministry’s spokesperson. The collection of donations are banned under the Kingdom’s anti-terrorism and terror financing laws. If a foreigner is found guilty of collecting donations, he/she will face deportation, the SPA quoted the spokesperson as saying.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif has directed relevant authorities to take all necessary measures to prevent collection of illegal donations.
