RIYADH: A medical student at Imam Mohammad bin Saud Islamic University, Mohammad bin Khalid Al-Khalifa, won first place in the Global Medical Student Conference held recently in Graz, Austria.

His research paper regarding public health received first place out of 285 papers that were presented to the conference. The research paper was noted for its clear display of talent and outstanding innovation by the president of the student training program at the college of medicine, Dr. Sami bin Abdulrahman al-Dahham.

Dr. Al-Dahham said that this achievement is a source of pride to the nation, to Imam Mohammad University, and to the College of Medicine. The dean of talent, innovation and excellence, Dr. Abdullah bin Thani, congratulated the deputy director of Imam Mohammad bin Saud Islamic university, Dr. Fozan Al-Fozan, and the employees of the university for this outstanding achievement, and congratulated the university for its continued excellence. Bin Thani expressed his gratitude to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Minister of Education Azzam Al-Dakhil for their unlimited support of the education sector. He commended the role of the deputy director Fozan Al-Fozan for his intensive follow up with the deanship of talent, excellence and innovation’s activities and his continued care in providing a suitable atmosphere for the university’s employees. He was also praised for enabling the university to achieve its academic goals in taking care of talented students by attending these conferences and encouraging them to achieve positive and distinguished results in a manner that reflects the true image of the university.
