Imam Mohammed ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU) has expressed willingness to fully cooperate with the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (Haia) in academic and training areas.

The rector of IMSIU, Sulaiman bin Abdullah Aba Al-Khail, made the remarks when he met with president of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice Abdul Latif Al-Asheikh at the Haia premises on Sunday.

The Haia chief appreciated the role being played by IMSIU at local and global levels and its qualification of a number of cadres in judicial and Islamic call areas.

He expressed pride over the liaison with IMSIU as its approach is based on two authentic sources: the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet. In particular, he applauded the support given by the IMSIU rector to the Haia.

The Haia president called for all-out cooperation for the realization of one of the key multiple objectives on which the Kingdom is based, namely, the promotion of virtue and prevention of vice, by promoting and exploiting energies of the younger generation of the country.

On his part, the IMSIU rector underscored the role of the Haia in society, stressing that IMSIU and Haia are considered “two eyes in one head based on the Holy Quran and Sunnah.”

Aba Al-Khail appreciated the support extended by the rulers of the country, notably Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and Crown Prince Salman, to the Haia. Since its inception, the Kingdom has been based on two pillars: the Holy Quran and Sunnah and the support of Islam, he pointed out.
