JEDDAH: Indian Charge d’Affaires Hemant Kotalwar will hoist the national flag at the Indian Embassy in Riyadh’s Diplomatic Quarter at 9 a.m. on the occasion of Republic Day on Tuesday.

Consul General B.S. Mubarak will unfurl the national flag at the Indian Consulate on Jeddah’s Tahliya Street at 8 a.m.

In Dammam, the flag-hoisting ceremony will take place at 8 a.m. at the International Indian School (IISD). More than 600 students of IISD will participate in cultural programs. The School Scouts and Guides will present a guard of honor.

Abdussalam Kannian, chairman of the school managing committee, will be the chief guest at the event. More than 5,000 community members are expected to attend the celebrations.

All members of the large Indian community and friends of India in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam have been invited to attend the flag-hoisting ceremonies.
