JEDDAH/RIYADH/DAMMAM/JUBAIL: The International Indian School-Jeddah (IISJ) maintained the legacy of cent percent result for the fifth consecutive year at the All India Senior Secondary School Certificate (Grade XII) Examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education in March-April. The results were announced on Monday.

According to IISJ Principal Syed Masood Ahmed, Kristin Davis topped in the school by scoring 96.2 percent followed by Hasan Mohammed Shahid (96 percent) and Ulfat Rahman and Mohammed Danish V.P. who got the third position (95.8 percent). “A total of 514 students appeared for the exams,” said Ahmed. “Fifty-seven of them secured 90 percent and above, 496 students 60 percent and above and seven were placed in compartment.”

There was celebration time at the International Indian School in Riyadh (IISR) as well.

Principal S.M. Shaukat Perwez said: “This year, 649 students appeared for the exams, out of which 621 passed while 28 failed,” he said. “The pass percentage was 95.7.”

Perwez said 507 students passed the exams in first division and distinction while 44 students got second division and eight were in third division.

Delhi Public School (DPS Riyadh) Principal Mairaj Khan was delighted with the results. “We are glad that our CBSE Grade XII result has come with 100 percent success rate as once again all our students have passed with flying colors,” he said.

He said 19 students appeared from the DPS for the exams and the Top 3 were Surbhi Pradhan (92 percent), Husna Ishaq (84.6 percent) and Sarah Fatima (83.2 percent).

K.M. Abdul Azeez, principal of International Indian Public School-Riyadh (IIPSR), said his school achieved 100 percent success rate with 90 percent of students scoring first division and 65 percent passing the board exams with the distinction.

At International Indian School-Dammam (IISD), students performed exceedingly well. Varsha Balachandra Kumar secured 97 percent in science stream and stood first in the Kingdom from among 725 students from the school. Ghouse Mohamed Ibrahim stood second with 96.2 percent while Sree Vidhya Sadanandan, Sri Kiranmayee and Razeena stood third position with 95.4 percent.

At the International Indian School-Jubail, 159 students took the exam. Of them, 157 came out with flying colors.

“The pass percentage at our school is 98.74,” said Jubail Principal Syed Hameed. “This is astounding,” he said, and joined management committee chairman and members in congratulating the students, the teaching staff and the parents for their successful efforts.
