Jeddah InterContinental has readied itself to serve its guests for iftar and sahoor. “During this year’s Ramadan, the hotel will offer 14 live cooking stations and different flavors of ice-cream,” Ojvind Leth Karlsen, executive chef at Jeddah InterContinental, told Arab News.
“We are transforming our whole area into a smoking grilled area for fresh and hot barbeque as grilled food always tastes better if served hot and fresh,” he added. One other attraction this time is live bread making. “We think we are the only one in Jeddah offering Sushi during the holy month,” he said.
InterContinental will have a daily raffle draw with 10 to 15 gifts, including a luxury car, airline tickets, watches, perfumes and gold jewelry. Iftar will be served at the hotel’s Tea Garden, Lee Cafe and Al Ferdaus restaurant.
The hotel’s Fish Market and Spears will be open for groups for iftar. Sultan Ballroom hall will also serve the Ramadan guests. The hotel serves sahoor guests at Al-Ferdaus international restaurant.
The hotel’s 360 cafe will also have healthy and light food menus for sahoor. From the gate to the Tea Garden, customers will this year enjoy the latest Islamic decorations from different parts the world.
“We will have our 360 Cafe open, where we have built a tent which will be bigger than last year’s and people will be able to enjoy World Cup events with light snacks, with the menu selected by the chef for each match with dishes of different countries,” said Abdulrahman Al-Zahrani, director of sales and marketing, InterContinental Jeddah.
For the World Cup fans, the 360 Cafe will be the place during Ramadan.
The cafe will offer delicious snacks from every part of the world.
InterContinental also is making special offers on accommodation for Umrah performers coming from around the world.
