Four outstanding inventors and three talented scientists won awards under the King Abdullah Prize for Inventors and the Gifted (Takreem) on Monday.

Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Suwaiyel, president of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), who is also president of the prize, said the winners were chosen from 125 entries and 11 countries.

Saeed bin Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Zahrani, a Saudi national, and Enas Maine Al-Nashif, a Jordanian, were jointly recognized for their contributions to information technology. Saeed bin Mohammed bin Hassan Al-Mubarak, a Saudi national, won for his invention in the field of oil and gas, and Saad bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Jalil, a Saudi, for his water technology invention.

Faten bint Abdulrahman bin Fuad Khurshid, Noha bint Talal bin Ibrahim Zailaa, and Mohammed bin Mahrous bin Ahmed Al-Mahrous, all Saudis, received awards for their work in medical technology.
