RIYADH: The King Abdul Aziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity and Saudi Ideas Development Co. Ltd. (SIDCL) recently signed an agreement for human resources development.
The agreement, signed at foundation’s headquarters here, provides for the allocation of 5,000 sq. meters of land in Makkah for the project.
Dr. Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Sabti, secretary-general of the foundation, and Yusuf bin Awad Al-Ahmadi, SIDCL chairman, signed the agreement.
“The King Abdul Aziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity is indeed delighted to sign the accord in view of its impact in supporting human resources rehabilitation and development,” said Al-Sabti.
He added that it will also ensure interdisciplinary and strategic functions which will contribute to the upgrading of social capital through investment in education as well as in training.
He cited the help already extended by Saudi officials in motivating and encouraging entrepreneurs to launch initiatives and serve society as well as developing the spirit of giving as a national sense of social responsibility.
He also lauded Al-Ahmadi for his generous initiative, which was an extension of his support for the gifted over many years.
For his part, Al-Ahmadi expressed willingness to help, and stressed the importance of achieving developmental integration between different sectors and the role of business in supporting it. He also expressed his belief in the importance of investing in human capital and the future role of gifted individuals in leadership development and the economic growth of the Kingdom.
In conclusion, Al-Sabti explained that the King Abdul Aziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity aims to discover and support talents in the Kingdom, adding that it was founded to care for the gifted and creative individuals.
