JEDDAH: The Kingdom’s permanent representative to the United Nations in Geneva, Faisal Trad, said that the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman is keen to ensure a stable life for all its citizens and to help needy groups affected by poverty and destitution.
In a speech at the Human Rights Council, Trad said the state ensures the rights of all.
He referred to a charitable fund to combat poverty which operates through mechanisms that provide interest-free loans to establish small investment projects for the poor.
On terrorism, Trad said that the Kingdom agrees with the special rapporteur on this issue where human rights violations carried out by the Daesh terrorist organization are some of the worst forms of violations.
