RIYADH: Customs officials at the King Fahd Causeway have seized two shipments of liquor being smuggled into the kingdom, the Saudi Press Agency said on Monday.

Daifalla Al-Otaibi, customs director at the bridge linking Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, was quoted as saying that in the first shipment, 415 bottles were concealed in various parts of a vehicle. In the second shipment, 83 liters of liquor were hidden inside the fuel tank reserve.

Al-Otaibi directed customs officers to remain vigilant and strictly enforce regulations as he noted that smugglers are getting more and more creative in their wicked ways.
